June 13, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 02:47 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

Three children fell ill after consuming packaged soft drinks on Saturday evening, raising serious concerns over the safety of the beverage.

The father of the children Azam, who is a resident of Tadbun in Kalapather, alleged that it was Frooti which made them sick. According to him, he had bought the soft drink from a store near his house and gave it to his children. However, within half an hour of consumption, all the three children Azaan (four years), Faizan (three years) and Arhan (one year) started vomiting and complained of stomach ache. They were rushed to a private hospital. “The doctor said that if the soft drinks are not stored at a suitable temperature then it can form bacteria. We think it was not stored in a freezer,” he said.
