A 25-year-old techie committed suicide on Thursday evening at her residence in KPHB Colony. B. Tejaswini, an employee of Cyient, hanged herself to death with her ‘dupatta’ at around 5 p.m. at her uncle’s residence, where she was staying. KPHB police said that the deceased did not leave any suicide note. She was a native of Kazipet in Warangal district.

Sub-inspector G. Ramesh said no suspects were questioned, and the reason behind Tejaswini’s suicide was yet to be ascertained. Mr. Ramesh added that her mother was in town since Wednesday, and her father reached the city on Thursday evening after being informed about his daughter’s death.Accused in rape case seek bail

Two persons, including a Village Revenue Official, who are accused in a rape case registered with the Shamshabad police, reportedly tried to seek bail here on Thursday.

Munchital VRO Chandra Mohan, who was booked with three others earlier this month, is absconding along with another accused Mahender, said the police.

“Even if they try, they cannot get bail. They have been booked for gang-raping a woman. The incident took place on March 5, and the case was registered on May 15,” said Shamshabad police station inspector K. Uma Maheshwar Rao.
