The Secretary of Department of Personnel and Training, Sanjay Kothari, has informed the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao that cent per cent distribution of employees between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh would be over by August.

Mr. Kothari, who called on Mr. Rao at his camp office on Wednesday, said 84 per cent of employees in 92 government departments were already bifurcated. Telangana was allotted 30 per cent more staff as it had a shortage of IAS and IPS officers. He promised to hold meetings with Chief Secretaries of both the States on a monthly basis to complete the process. Mr. Rao asked the DoPT to complete the bifurcation of staff at the earliest as there was a dire need of them in the newly-formed Telangana State.
