Leader of Opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir has blamed Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for poor relief works in rain affected areas and staying away from the capital while the city was reeling under flood waters.
Speaking to reporters here, Mr. Shabbir Ali strongly condemned Mr. Rao for his absence in the State capital during the crisis.
“KCR, along with Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma is conveniently sitting in New Delhi to make representations with the Centre for increase in Assembly seats while the city was reeling under rain fury. He wants the MLA seats to be increased to accommodate leaders whom he lured from different parties into TRS by offering posts,” he said.
“It reflects his insensitive approach towards tragedies,” he said adding that it is ridiculous to say that the Chief Minister was monitoring the situation from New Delhi. He reminded that the Chief Minister heads the Telangana Disaster Management Authority.
He advised Municipal Administration Minister K.T. Rama Rao to speak responsibly instead of blaming the previous Congress government for the present situation. “You are in power for the last two-and-a-half years. Where is your Monsoon Action Plan? What happened to your 100 Days Action Plan for GHMC,” he asked.
