December 04, 2014 11:06 am | Updated April 07, 2016 02:40 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Justice P. Naveen Rao of the Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday directed the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences to take steps to see that while setting examiners to conduct examination for students who filed cases against the professor that they are not assessed by the same professor.

These directions were issued in cases filed by post graduate medicine students Dr. Jyotindra Singh and Dr. Rudra Pratap Mahapatra.

They alleged that the Head of cardiothorasic department was demanding money from them for passing them in the examination.

The professor filed a case contending that money was deposited in his bank account and he is innocent. Pending final judgment, the judge said that to ensure fairness in the examination, this professor shall not be the examiner for them.
