Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded former Union Minister D.Purandeswari from Rajampet Lok Sabha constituency in YSR District in Seemandhra region.

Although the BJP was keen to field her either from Vijayawada or Ongole Lok Sabha seat, its electoral alliance partner Telugu Desam did not oblige and the party finally opted for Rajampet seat. She would be facing her former Congress colleague Sai Pratap, who was renominated by the Congress after he rejoined the party.

The BJP also named its senior leader K.Hari Babu as its nominee for Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha seat, all-India VHP vice-president, Gokaraju Gangaraju as the candidate from Narsapur and a police officer, Karumanchi Jayaram as the nominee from Tirupati (SC).
