Mystery shrouds techie’s death

A software professional Md Saleem Jaffer (33) of Madhapur died under suspicious circumstances after consuming liquor on Friday night, the police said.

Jaffer, who used to work at Launchship Technologies Solution Private Limited at Kondapur went to Suraj Bar and Restaurant in Gachibowli along with his friends for a party. “The man consumed some drinks and started vomiting in the restaurant. His friends rushed him to KIMS Hospital at Gachibowli where doctors pronounced him brought dead,” the Madhapur police said.

The police registered a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC and say that the section will be altered, if need be, basing on the post-mortem examination report.

Vehicle lifter in police net

A vehicle lifter Syed Mukram alias Chotu (25) of Imadnagar in M M Pahadi area in Rajendranagar was detained under Prevention of Dangerous Activities Act by the Mangalhat police on Saturday. Mukram was involved in several five vehicle lifting cases reported in the city in last couple of years.
