Panic prevailed at Regimental Bazaar when a fire broke out at a Grand Bawarchi Hotel in the early hours of Thursday.

The fire broke out due to the overheating of a utensil in the kitchen. Kitchen utensils and other equipment stored in the kitchen were gutted, said Secunderabad Fire Officer, G. Venkatesh. On receipt of information, a fire tender from Secunderabad fire station rushed to the spot. Meanwhile, GHMC officials seized the hotel as it did not have the required permission.
