Rachel wins Mumbai Marathon again

Retired IAS officer and former chairman of the AP Public Service Commission Rachel Chatterjee won the gold medal in the Mumbai Marathon 2017.

Ms. Rachel achieved the feat for the third consecutive year in the 65+ category at the marathon held on Sunday. She completed the full marathon of 42.197 km in just over five hours.

Started in 2004, Mumbai Marathon is regarded as the largest mass participation event in Asia. The Mumbai Marathon this year saw over 10,000 participants, according to an official release.
