Machine tool manufacturer Lokesh Machines Ltd has signed an agreement with Tongtai Machine & Tool Co Ltd of Taiwan to manufacture the latter’s Hi-Speed Vertical Machining Center Model EZ5.
A release from Lokesh Machines on the tie-up said the company will start manufacturing EZ5 for the Indian as well as export market at its new facility in Kallakal, Hyderabad. Going forward, it will also Make in India other hi-technology machines of Tongtai for the global markets.
Tongtai is a leading machine tool company in Taiwan and has manufacturing facilities in Taiwan, France and Austria. Lokesh Machines, the release said, wanted to grow its technological base by adding to the portfolio some ultra-high speed machines for new age metals and products.
Director M. Sri Krishna said the venture with Tongtai opens up an “exciting new chapter in our progress and potential.”
