“More butterflies in my stomach to attend my eight-year-old daughter’s parent-teacher meeting than for my Assembly debates or elections !! Hmmm.”
These lines on a micro-blogging site may not interest people much at a first glance. But a closer look makes one realise who the tweet was from - K.T. Rama Rao, a Cabinet Minister holding more than one portfolio in the Telangana Rashtra Samiti Government, on Saturday.
Along with the next tweet, a couple of hours later, was a picture on the page that must have made many eyebrows raise. Clad in a dark blue tee and denims, the articulate Minister was found seated in those typical chairs made for little children at Oakridge, where his eight year-old Alekhya studies in Class III.
KTR, as he is popular and son of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, was seen flipping through some assessment which teachers had given him at a parent-teacher meeting (PTM). And the accompanying line said, “Daughter’s PTM; done with it. Was much better than expected. Should do it more often.”
Needless to say, the two tweets and the photographs soon went viral !
