HC adjourns hearing on case challenging HCA elections

HYDERABAD: Justice A.V.Sesha Sai of the Hyderabad High Court on Thursday adjourned the case filed by Mohd. Azharuddin, former captain of Indian cricket team, regarding HCA elections to next Wednesday.

The case was filed by former captain as well as National Cricket Club, represented by its secretary D Christophyls. They requested the court to declare the order passed by the V Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ranga Reddy district directing conducting of elections and appointing advocate commissioner as illegal. The wanted the elections conducted on 17 January to be declared as null and void. At the request of the counsel for the petitioner The case was adjourned to next Wednesday.
