Prominent family business leaders from India and the world participated at the three-day sixth Asian Invitational Conference on Family Business organised by the Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family Enterprise and the Indian School of Business here from February 3 to 5.
The first day of the conference with the theme ‘competitiveness in family business’ provided a platform for academicians to share their research work with peers and hear from experts in the area of family business.
While the second and the third day saw over 350 delegates from U.S.A., Switzerland, India and other Asian countries participate, the sessions focused on issues such as family governance, managing change, sustaining family business-family governance and philanthropy, synergising strategy, structure and people, passionate entrepreneurial leader, financing growth and growing wealth, and organisational transformation.
The participants included Adi Godrej, chairman, Godrej Group; Dieter Spaelti, managing partner and CEO, Spectrum Value Management Ltd., Zurich; Denise H. Kenyon-Rouvinez from the IMD School of Business, and Kavil Ramachandran, executive director, Thomas Schmidheiny Centre for Family.
