One-year-old undergoes rare surgery

: A one-year-old child with a rare medical condition has undergone a life-saving surgery at the BLK Super Speciality Hospital here.

The child, Ayaan, was afflicted with the ‘dancing-eye-dancing-feet syndrome’, a neurological disorder that causes abnormal jerky movements of the eyes, head, trunk and extremities.

Dr Prashant Jain, consultant, Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology, BLK Super Specialty Hospital, said, “A tumour has been removed from the child’s chest. He has been discharged.”

The child hails from Sonepat.
