Rahul, a freelance videographer was arrested for flying a drone with a camera attached to it in Karol Bagh, said the police. The 23-year-old man was booked under Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC, DCP (Central) Parmaditya said.

The incident took place on Thursday evening when Rahul was spotted flying the drone at a private function at a park in Karol Bagh.

The quadricopter having a camera, was also being operated at a very low height, following which some locals informed the police, a police official said.

Rahul allegedly refused to cooperate with the police, following which the device was seized and later he was arrested, the official added.

Delhi Police has been ordered to shoot down anything suspicious that flies over the Capital, especially near the airport. The decision has come in the backdrop of recent incidents of suspected drone sightings around the airport and elsewhere in the city, many of which went unresolved.
