: A private jet plane with Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu and Rajiv Pratap Rudy on board had to abort take off from the Indira Gandhi International Airport here at the last moment due to a technical snag.

The eight-seater Hawker 800 XP aircraft was taxiing and was about to take off when the pilot detected a ‘fuel warning’ in the cockpit.

Naidu was on his way to Jaipur to file his nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha polls. “Both Naidu and Rudy are safe. They were delayed by about two hours,” said BJP sources.

Due to the snag, Mr. Naidu, along with Mr. Rudy, had to take another flight to reach Jaipur. BJP has nominated Naidu as the party’s candidate from Rajasthan, where the party enjoys a majority.
