Dilli Haat to host theatre workshop

Dilli Haat, Pitampura, will host a summer theatre workshop for children from May 25. Organised by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) and UDAAN - the Centre of Theatre Art and Child Development, the workshop will allow children to catch the nuances of acting by experts from the National School of Drama.

“The aim is to build confidence in children through the art of theatre,” said a spokesperson for Delhi Tourism. “In this one-month training camp, children will be introduced to various disciplines of acting to increase their concentration and confidence. Special training for mind power, yoga and meditation will also be given,” he added.

The summer camp, which will start from May 25 and continue till June 25, will be held for two to three hours each day. Children will be taught by experts from the National School of Drama, Bharatmuni Sansthan and UDAAN in various genres, acting, art, handicraft, concentration, yoga and mind power, the spokesperson said.

Registrations for the camp have started at Dilli Haat, Pitampura. Seats are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
