: A 28-year-old student of Jamia Millia Islamia allegedly committed suicide at her friend’s house in Shaheen Bagh late on Tuesday night.
The victim, Heena Packer, was a final-year BDS student. The police said so far nothing had come to suggest that she was under pressure from the college to vacate the hostel or any financial constraint.
An official from the Jamia Milia Uiniversity administration said that Heena had applied for leave from July 16 to 19. “We are probing the matter, and will speak to her family members,” said the officer.
