B Tech. and BMS confusion cleared

July 01, 2014 09:31 am | Updated May 23, 2016 03:49 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Students who have already been admitted for Delhi University’s BMS course in 2013 will be allowed to continue with this course, but instead of four years they will get their degrees in three years. The B.Tech. students too will be allowed to continue but they will have to complete the full cycle of four years.

The University Grants Commission while recommending these actions has also advised colleges to seek its approval as also that of the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) wherever necessary. BBS and B.A. Honours (Business Economics) will be replacing BMS and instead of B.Tech in a subject, the degree will be B Sc. which will be completed in three years.
