Man killed in accident

A 40-year-old man died after his two-wheeler was hit by an over-speeding vehicle near Japanese Garden in Rohini area on Friday night, police said.

The victim, Lalji Yadav, was a resident of Sector 16 in Rohini and was returning home after work, when the accident took place around 12.30 a.m., said a senior police officer on Saturday.

Police reached the spot following a PCR call and rushed Mr. Yadav to Ambedkar Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

Mr. Yadav, who hailed from Pratapgarh, is survived by his wife and three sons.

Efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the accused driver by examining CCTV camera footage of the spot, said police.
