The corporation will soon invite suggestions from members of the public on re-designing in the west and east stretches of the T.V. Samy Road, the multi-level car parking near Town Hall and D.B. Road and the traffic island and junction near Gandhi Park. According to sources, the move to invite suggestions to redesign the areas under the Smart Cities plan was a part of the ‘Make your cities smart’ campaign that the civic body had already launched.
It had invited members of the public to suggest ways to improve the D.B. Road and junction near Cowley Brown Road sometime in June-July this year. It had received many suggestions and of those it had selected 63 entries, the sources added.
The corporation had announced Rs. 50,000 for the first prize, Rs. 20,000 for the second prize and Rs. 10,000 for the third prize.
