The Madras Regimental Centre, Wellington, recently organised a cleanliness drive. Hundred children of army personnel took part in the programme and spent two hours cleaning the streets of Jakathala village on May 23.

This was a part of voluntary summer adventure camp organised by the Centre. The children assisted doctors in the village in the conduct of a medical camp. Earlier this week, the children participated in community service at the Little Sisters old age home in Coonoor. This was followed by a sapling plantation drive. The children planted around 100 saplings.
