City surgeon bags Best Paper Award

Dr. Senthilnathan, Gem Hospitals, Coimbatore, has won the Best Paper Award at World Congress of International Hepato Pancreato Biliary Association, held in São paolo Brazil from April 20 to 23. About 2,800 surgeons from around the world attended the congress.

Around 2,000 papers were presented at the congress among which Dr. Senthilnathan’s paper, on open verses laparoscopic surgery in pancreatic head cancer, won the award.

The award, which comprised a certificate and 1000 USD, was presented by Dr. Charles Volmer, president of the congress.

Conference

Dr. Senthilnathan, who was nominated as one of the expert committee members of laparoscopic HPB surgery in Asia, will be organising the second Asia Pacific liver conference in Coimbatore during October.
