When Lisa and her friends reached school, they called Sara and Reyna and told them to go to the gymnasium as Mrs. Marigold had great news for them. Hearing this, Sara was excited. But Reyna was more intelligent. She thought, “It is April Fool’s Day, I doubt what they say is true. After all, Lisa and her friends are really big trouble makers.”

Reyna shared her suspicion with Sara and the latter agreed that this must be a prank. So, they came up with a plan. In the afternoon, Lisa and her friends were hiding behind the balance beam. The trap was all laid out. As soon as someone stepped on it, a bowl of whipped cream would land on their face. They kept waiting excitedly. Little did they know that someone was creeping up behind them. Lisa heard something moving; she turned around and… Splash! A bowl of cream smacked into her face by none other than Mrs. Marigold!

“April Fools!” said Sara and Reyna as they crept out from behind Mrs. Marigold. Lisa was disappointed her plan didn’t work out they way she had planned. She could not believe that Mrs. Marigold had been a part of it. At home she told her mother all about the incident. She also said it was the best April Fool’s Day ever, even if she hadn’t got a chance to play a prank on someone.
