Inspired by medicine

June 09, 2014 05:51 pm | Updated 05:51 pm IST

I got a chance to attend the Young Doctors’ Camp organised by Yashoda Hospital. It was for the benefit of students who were promoted to Std. X. I feel it is the right time to know about the various branches in medicine. We were shown the catheterisation lab, Intensive Care Unit (ICU), CT scan and the MRI scan. We also saw the blood bank and witnessed a surgery that was in progress.

The camp was enlightening and the atmosphere was welcoming. I am grateful to the organisers for conducting such a camp to create awareness about the amazing filed of medicine.
