Courses in shipping and pharma

Indian Merchants’ Chamber (IMC) and Indian Education Society (IES) have collaborated to launch two new courses — “Professional Certificate Course in Shipping Management and Maritime Laws” and “Professional Certificate Course in Pharmaceutical Sales Management.” Both the courses are for six months.

The Shipping Management course will be useful for those working in the area of liners, agents, NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier), freight forwarders, freight brokers and custom-house agents in shipping industry. The pharmaceutical management course will be useful for those wanting to enhance their knowledge and qualifications in the area of pharmaceutical sales management.

Scholarships at Newcastle University

Newcastle University’s School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is offering undergraduate scholarships worth 3,000 pounds a year to international students. This scholarship will be awarded to those who are considered to be overseas students for fee-paying purposes and who meet the conditions of the offer for a place on one of the courses in the School of EEE and choose this course as their UCAS first choice.

Continuation of the scholarship in subsequent years will be conditional on achieving satisfactory performance — not less than 55 per cent average in the previous year. For more information, contact:

Environmental and Energy Engineering

The University of Sheffield’s M.Sc. (Engg) Environmental and Energy Engineering programme aims to

give students a clear and fundamental knowledge of environmental issues from an engineer’s point of view. The annual fee for the course is £18,070. The programme will have intakes in September. Students are encouraged to apply before July 31. Students who wish to apply for the course must hold a first degree (or equivalent) in engineering or science. Applicants whose first language is not English are required to have a minimum overall score of 6.5 in IELTS with no less than 5.5 in each component, or equivalent. Free mock CAT

Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E.) is conducting a free All-India Online Mock CAT on June 29 at numerous locations across the country.
