After a protracted absence in the cinema arena, it looks like actor Vadivelu will be back on-screen very soon.

The creative head of Lyca Productions, Raju Mahalingam, tweeted a poster of the comedian in his ‘Imsai Arasan’’ get-up, saying “ Vellai kodi ku meendum velai vandhu vitadha?? (Is there work again for the white flag?)”

“S Pictures and Lyca combines for Part 2!! Entertainment Guaranteed!!” he added.

Lyca Productions is the company that produced the blockbuster Kaththi and is currently on-board for Rajinikanth’s 2.0. S Pictures is the production venture of director Shankar, who is also directing 2.0

‘Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi’ was one of Vadivelu’s biggest hits that catapulted him into a hero of sorts. The story of an inefficient, hare-brained king and his intelligent, but long-lost, twin was a laughter riot, turning all the known ‘masala’ tropes on their heads.

The film was an all-round hit despite having a piracy problem.

Will the sequel match up? We’ll have to wait and watch.
