Now, a sequel for Thanga Meenkal

Producer JSK Satish Kumar reveals that there will definitely be a sequel to Thanga Meenkal. “Director Ram and I have already made plans, and once he finishes work on his next film, we will get back to make the sequel,” he says.

Thanga Meenkal was about the relationship between an infantile man and his daughter. “It was about how the father would go to any lengths for his child. In the sequel, Chellamma is all grown up. The father is now old, and into his second childhood, so to speak. How does she take care of him?” Satish believes that at a time when old–age homes are prospering, the film will make several pertinent points.
