Nayan to play journo

Debutant director Bharath Krishnamachari has roped in Nayantara to play the lead role in his untitled film that’s being produced by Eros International. “Nayantara heard the script and instantly agreed to the role. The story is about a Europe-based journalist who goes about tracing her roots in her homeland. The story travels about 22,000 kilometres in the process. It is an adventure thriller,” says Bharath. Chezhiyan is the director of photography and the shooting of the film is to begin in March.

Eetti director’s next with GVP

Riding on the wave of his last commercial success, Eetti director Ravi Arasu has announced his next big venture with G. V. Prakash Kumar in the lead. “He will also score the music for the film, but as the hero, the character he plays will be in total contrast to all his earlier roles. This yet-untitled film is an action thriller, and we propose to make the formal announcement on Pongal day. By then, most of the remaining cast will also be finalised,” says Ravi Arasu.

Vijay Antony on a roll

Pichaikaaran -fame Vijay Antony has just signed up with Raadhika and Sarathkumar’s I Pictures for their next production. “I am playing the lead role and also composing music for the film, which is a commercial family entainer. Vijay is right now gearing up for the release of Yeman , directed by Jeeva Shankar, where he is paired with Miya George.
