Flipkart opens fulfilment centre near Chennai

E-commerce giant, Flipkart, opened its fulfilment centre near Chennai, taking its total warehouse strength in the country to 15.

With this new centre in Kuthambakkam, Flipkart has a storage capacity of over 2.5 million cubic feet across the country. “Tamil Nadu is one of the fastest-growing States that has seen an upsurge in demand for technology products like mobile phones. Hence, it is important to invest in the existing feeder capabilities and serve the ever rising demand from customers,” Binny Bansal, COO and co-founder, Flipkart was quoted as saying in a statement.
