A 15-year-old model will spend her half term on the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week after her mother emailed a designer asking for her daughter to take part.
Olivia Forsbrook has already appeared at London Fashion Week and made the the finals of Top Model UK, but this will be her first time working abroad.
Her mother Joanne Forsbrook, 52, sent an email to Manchester based designer, Chanel Joan Elkayam, after they were unable to attend the original casting because of snow.
The designer replied to Mrs Forsbrook offering Olivia the chance to showcase her latest creations in Italy.
Olivia, from Worcestershire, said: “It's been an absolute whirlwind. I didn’t really expect anything from it. I’m really excited to be going to Milan Fashion Week.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the big designers and getting a chance to chat to them.
“It meant a lot to me that Chanel choose me to walk in her clothes, I didn’t really expect her to say yes, when my Mum emailed her.
“Modelling has been the number one thing I’ve wanted to do for a very long time and hopefully I can do it for a very long time.”
Mrs Forsbrook emailed Chanel Joan Elkayam with a selection of head shots and videos of Olivia taking to the catwalk at London Fashion Week.
The full-time mum-of-five added: “I couldn’t believe it when we got a response so quickly. Our whole family is so proud of Olivia, she’s really put in the work and I know it’s what she was made to do.
“We’re very excited to go to Milan as we’ve never been and I don’t even think Olivia is nervous, we couldn’t be happier with how it’s gone.”
The teen, who attends Droitwich High School, started her modelling career in June last year when she was signed to London-based agency BAME Models.
