Donald Trump took two of his grandchildren on a walk today just before the White House was forced to deny claims they are considering mobilising up to 100,000 National Guard troops to round up unauthorised immigrants.

He spent some time with 3-year-old Theodore Kushner and his sister Arabella, who is 5.

Before the walk, little Theodore appeared to be a little bored of waiting to leave the White House.

He turned to the Oval Office  window and blew a raspberry on it, in front of the press.

Theodore and Arabella are the children of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, who serves as an advisor to the President.

The young family recently moved to Washington to support Donald Trump after he was inaugurated.

Ivanka has uprooted her New York life and moved to Washington after her father's inauguration.

She and her family appear to be settling in well, and she has been documenting the move on Instagram.

The entrepreneur posted a photograph of her 10-month-old baby Theodore in his cot, which is placed in a stylishly decorated nursery.

She posted the picture of her son looking ready for bed with the caption "Goodnight!".

Her family moved to Washington DC over the inauguration weekend, and her husband Jared Kushner began his unpaid job as a senior advisor to President Donald Trump in the White House on the Monday of the following week.

They are living in the same area as the Obamas, in the upscale neighbourhood of Kalorama.

Goodnight! 🐻

The families live only a few hundred yards from each other, in the leafy district populated by embassies, politicians and ambassadors.

Unlike other former first families, the Obamas have opted to stay in Washington DC, so their daughter Sasha can finish her time in her current school.

Ivanka has stepped away from her business responsibilities as she prepares to take on a role in the White House.
