Toni Kroos revealed the two Real Madrid players that he would love to play alongside with Germany, and they are Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. Surprisingly, and to the shock of many Real fans, he has decided not to pick Cristiano Ronaldo himself.
In an interview with Kicker magazine, the midfield maestro made his decision when questioned about it.
"Can I pick two? I'd take Luka Modric and Gareth Bale. It's a lot of fun to play with Luka. We clicked from the first day – we are people with similar thinking but a different playing style. We complement each other. Gareth is a weapon with his speed, his left foot and his headers."
The midfielder was also questioned as to who would win if Germany played Real Madrid, but Kross refused to play the devil's advocate and didn't pick an outright winner. "It would be interesting to have them play against each other. But I would have to give it some thought.

“They are definitely two of the best teams around. But what would happen if they squared off, I couldn’t even guess. They have different philosophies, different characters, players who think completely differently. It’s fun to think about. There’s very little between them. They’re both very good sides."
The German midfield maestro is currently injured and is set to be on the sidelines for more than a week. His recovery is on the right path, but he will miss the El Clasico on the 3rd of December.
"I will be 32 by the time my contract ends, and that's certainly a point where I won't have a long way to go as a player, or at least that's the plan right now," he said. "Sure, I don't know how I'll feel then, but there is no plan that includes playing football at 38 or 39. If I were to predict it today, it's more likely that I'll call it a day.
“But I can't give an exact prognosis yet. I think at 32 you are past your prime as a footballer. There are differences. Bastian Schweinsteiger is struggling with injuries more often than Philipp Lahm. I think it's important to have an idea and try to stay fit for as long as possible. But I'd say it's a good age to retire. But I won't necessarily be held to my words in six years."
The 2014 World Cup winner will be hoping that Real will pick up all three points against Barcelona and solidify their position on top of the league.
