We all saw it. The photo taken in the dressing room after Real Madrid defeated Barcelona in last week's El Clasico. The photo, which featured Cristiano Ronaldo in his underwear while the rest of the team celebrated, broke the internet and was widely compared to Arsenal’s dressing room celebration after they made fourth place.
And it was only a matter of time before the photo was cheekily replicated by other teams.
But Dutch side Almere City came out on top in terms of replicating the photo, which has since gone viral due to its tongue in cheek take on the celebration. What stands out most of all is perhaps the player who unashamedly took on the role of Ronaldo, despite having what can only be described as a fantastic Dad bod.
The mock photo was tweeted by the club shortly after their most recent game and has since received thousands of retweets and shares due it’s sharp attention to detail.
Real Madrid may actually have more entertaining photos to come in the near future after Barcelona suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Real Sociedad on Saturday. Now sitting just four points behind the league leaders, Real Madrid are now in for a real chance to take the top spot with six games to go, and we can only hope there are more hilarious photos on the way.
