She surrendered the top spot soon after taking it for the first time, but regained it in May before being dethroned by Marin in June.

Marin is second on the list with 80612 points.

P V Sindhu, who lost to in the quarter-finals at the World Championships to Korea's Sung Ji Hyun, dropped a rung to 14. The Indian, twice World Championships bronze medallist, has 45690 points.

In the men's singles, Parupalli Kashyap rose two places to No. 8 following his quarter-final finish at the World Championships.

India Open winner Kidambi Srikanth, however, dropped a slot and is placed at 5.

India's rising men's doubles pair of Manu Attri-B Sumeeth Reddy slipped to 22 after losing five places.
