Telugu comedian MS Narayana passes away

Veteran Telugu actor-director MS Narayana passed away at a private hospital in Hyderabad earlier this morning. He was 63.

Naryana was hospitalised on Wednesday, as he was reportedly suffering from malaria as well as kidney problems.

The actor has worked in over 700 Telugu movies. He won several awards, including the Andhra Pradesh State Nandi Award for Best Male Comedian five times.

His new film Pataas releases today.

Naryana is survived by wife Kala Prapoorna, daughter Sasi Kiran and son Vikram.

Quite a few film personalities from the South film industry tweeted their condolences: 

Lakshmi Manchu: RIP Ms Narayana uncle. Gone too soon. Strength to the family. Known him since I was a little girl. Nana introduced him in movies.

Samantha: MS Narayana garu had the kindest face and from the little I knew of him, the kindest soul too. Irreplaceable talent. RIP sir.

Siddharth: MS Narayana garu was a learned man, a versatile actor and a very kind soul. Terrible loss for Telugu cinema and his millions of fans. RIP sir.
