A lowdown on what's happening in the Telugu film industry.

Female actors have also taken to performing their own stunts for their films.

Pranitha Subash is the latest to join the bandwagon.

When stunt director Vijayan came up with an action sequence for the lead actress, Pranitha refused a body double and rehearsed the stunts herself in Dynamite.

She says: "There were times when I arrived on the set and my costar Vishnu would be rehearsing for his stunts.

"Watching him do those intense scenes gave me such an adrenaline rush that it inspired me to match his standards.

"At times, I was just amazed looking at the way Vishnu was doing stunts. He was amazing. I enjoyed doing stunts with him. He was very patient and supportive."

Dynamite (the official Telugu remake of the Tamil film Arima Nambi), which is produced by Vishnu Manchu (under the banner of 24 Frames Factory) and directed by Devakatta, is slated to release on September 4.
