Nivin Pauly is the most sought after star in Malayalam cinema, churning out one hit after another in the past one year.

Last year he had three big hits, 1983, Ohm Shaanthi Oshaana and Bangalore Days.

He played a brief role in another hit, Vikramadityan. This year started with Mili, which was a moderate success.

But his latest release, Oru Vadakkan Selfie, has set the cash registers ringing in a spectacular way.

The film is directed by debutant G Prajith. Vineeth Sreenivasan is the scriptwriter.

Nivin has completed two films, Alphonse Puthren’s Premam and Shyama Prasad’s Ivide.

He will start shooting for Abrid Shine’s Action Hero Biju soon.

Sreenivasan is back as N P Ambujakshan

In Kamal’s 1996 film Azhakiya Ravanan (with Mammootty in the lead), there was a comic character named N P Ambujakshan, played by Sreenivasan.

Ambujakshan was a tailor and also a struggling novelist. He narrated his silly story titled ‘Chirakodinja Kinavukal’ that became a much loved sequence.

Now, debutant director Santhosh Viswanath has made a film titled Chirakodinja Kinavukal, based on Sreenivasan’s character.

In the recently released teaser Sreenivasan’s character mocks himself!

Kunchacko Boban and Rima Kallingal play the lead.

The film will hit the screens in the first week of May.

Life of Josutty goes to New Zealand

For the second schedule of Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph’s Life of Josutty, the unit moves to New Zealand next week.

The film is about the life of a villager named Josutty, played by Dileep.

Jeethu and Dileep had teamed up for the hit film, My Boss.

Dileep has a new release coming up, Sidharth Bharathan’s Chandrettan Evideya. It  will be in the theatres on May 1.

He is currently shooting for Sreebala K Menon’s Love 24 X 7.
