Is Katrina Kaif getting ready to settle down?
Like Asin, who has significantly cut down on work ever since news of her engagement got out, Katrina has reportedly been turning down high profile projects.
“She opted out of Jackie Chan starrer Kung Fu Yoga after negotiations had almost reached closure.
“Now the role has gone to Ileana D'Cruz. Katrina also said no to films like Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale, Sanjay Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani and Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro, only because they looked like time consuming assignments,” a source close to the development says.
A close friend of Katrina reveals, “She is definitely cutting down on her roles, though we don’t know if it is due to any marriage plans.”
The actress has only two projects in her kitty at the moment.
Abhishek Kapoor’s Fitoor is almost complete while shooting for Nitya Mehra’s Kal Kisne Dekha has just commenced.
Incidentally, in both the films, she is paired opposite younger costars.
Says a friend, “She can’t do more films with Ranbir Kapoor since real-life pairs are boring on screen.
“Her pairing with Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar has been done to death already.
“It has to be leading men she hasn’t worked with before. Aditya Roy Kapoor and Siddharth Malhotra fit into Kat's plan of doing some memorable roles before getting married,” the friend explains.
Kareena Kapoor has being paired with younger heroes like Imran Khan and Arjun Kapoor after getting hitched.
Will holy matrimony bring Katrina good luck in her career too? Only time will tell.
