Former India batsman VVS Laxman believes that Mahendra Singh Dhoni's in-form bowling unit could take a lot of encouragement out of the struggling Australian batting when both sides meet in the World Cup semifinal tie in Sydney on Thursday.

Shane Watson was dropped on six and remained unbeaten on 64 as he guided his side to a victory over Pakistan that booked them a semi-final date with India.

In light of Australia's performance against Pakistan, Laxman said that Australia's batsmen looked under pressure, claiming that Finch looked out of sorts and was surprised to see Clarke get out the way he did.

Laxman, who scored 8781 Test runs for India, further said that if Pakistan had taken Watson's wicket, there could have been an upset.

Laxman added that Australia's batting is encouraging for Indian pacers.
