Coruña (Spain), July 22 : Hoffenheim defender Fabian Schar has completed signing for Spanish football club Deportivo La Coruña for four seasons after undergoing the medical check up on Saturday.
The Swiss international, who will turn 26 in December, arrived in Spain Friday night and underwent the medical in the early hours of Saturday, reports Efe.
The La Liga side confirmed that the defender has passed the physical examination as a step prior to formalising his contract for the next four seasons.
Schar is the fifth incoming player Deportivo have signed for the 2017-18 season, after Spaniards Gerard Valentin and Carles Gil, Uruguayan Federico Valverde and Belgian Zakaria Bakkali.
The defender will join the training session of his Spanish team for the first time under Spanish chief coach Pepe Mel on Monday.
Deportivo finished 16th in La Liga last season.
