Pisa (Italy), July 18 : Police in the Italian city of Pisa have detained three Roma Gypsy women suspected of robbing and repeatedly punching a Russian tourist at the city's central station.

The three women were held on Monday as they tried to flee from the station after the Russian tourist raised the alarm, police said.

Two of the Roma Gypsies are minors, aged 15 and 13. The adult female and the 15-year-old have been arrested while the 13-year-old has been put in the custody of a relative, said police.

Police were still looking for an accomplice who was allegedly waiting in a nearby underpass to receive the goods stolen from the Russian tourist.
