Kabul, July 10 : At least 11 Taliban militants were killed and five wounded when Afghan forces struck at the militant group's hideout in Logar province, the Interior Ministry said on Monday.

"General Command of Police Special Units launched a security operation in Mohammad Agha district on Sunday," Xinhua news agency cited a statement as saying.

The special force also destroyed 10 motorcycles, eight drums full of explosives and two rockets during the raid.

"Four police officers were also wounded but no civilian was harmed during the operation," the statement said.
