Madrid, July 7 : Spanish champions Real Madrid on Friday presented Spaniard defender Jesus Vallejo as a first team player.

The 12-time UEFA Champions League winners Real contracted Vallejo, 20, in 2015 from Zaragoza where he played for one more season, before joining German Eintracht Frankfurt on loan last year, reports Efe.

"Many thanks to everyone... to the club, who have shown faith in me when they signed me, and again now as a first-team player," Vallejo said during the event at the presidential box at the Santiago Bernabeu here.

"Being a Real Madrid player makes you proud and it's a responsibility. I'm thrilled to accept this responsibility. Thanks to everyone, I'm going to give my all for this badge and this shirt. Hala Madrid!" he added.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said: "He's one of the most promising young defenders in Spanish football and he's got all the qualities necessary to be a success at Real Madrid."
"He's 20 years old and has quality in abundance to come into the first team," Perez acknowledged.
