Paris, May 5 : Paris Saint-Germain's midfielder Thiago Motta and winger Angel Di Maria each have received a two-game suspension from the disciplinary committee of the French football league LFP.

In PSG's 1-3 away loss to Nice in the 35th round action of Ligue 1 on Sunday, Italian Motta was shown a direct red card for a headbutt on Nice defender Paul Baysse late in the game before Argentine Di Maria was also sent off for a tough tackle on Arnaud Souquet in stoppage time, reports Xinhua news agency.

The disciplinary panel of LFP on Thursday imposed a two-game suspension on each of the two players, with another game possible suspension for Di Maria.

The duo will miss French league defending champions' home game against Bastia on Saturday and a trip to Saint-Etienne next weekend. They will be able to play again in the last league game against Caen and the French Cup final against Angers on May 27.
