Washington DC, Feb 2nd: : In what seems to be a hugely promising and brave move, Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced on Monday that he will be filing a lawsuit against Trump, the Department of Homeland Security and select senior Trump administration officials, seeking a declaration that key portions of Trump’s Executive Order on immigration be declared unconstitutional.

Trump administration, immediately after its inauguration, had ordered an immigration ban that blocks the entry of immigrants, predominantly from seven Muslim countries (Iran, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, and Sudan) for 90 days and refugees for 120 days.

But it seems the nation is indeed filled with a population that reflects the constitutional vision of US, unlike Trump – for along with the nationwide anti-Trump protests, technology giants Microsoft, Amazon, and Expedia have all come forward to submit additional directives in support of the lawsuit filed by the state of Washington.

The corporate are slated to file additional directives outlining how the ban has negatively affected their business and employees.

“It is an insult and a danger to all of the people of the state of Washington, of all faiths,” State governor Jay Inslee told.

The state’s suit also points how the ban “is separating Washington families, harming thousands of Washington residents, damaging Washington’s economy, hurting Washington-based companies, and undermining Washington’s sovereign interest in remaining a welcoming place for immigrants and refugees”.

Meanwhile, both Amazon and Expedia have circulated internal statements within their organizations asking all its people to support any of their employs who might be affected by the ban and promising the companies’ complete weight available for each of them.

In the email to its employees, Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos said the order “is one we do not support. We are a nation of immigrants whose diverse backgrounds, ideas, and points of view have helped us build and invent as a nation for over 240 years”.

Interestingly, Washington-based billion dollar company Expedia is founded and headed by CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, himself an Iranian immigrant to the U.S, one among the innumerous immigrant initiatives that have sprung up in the country within a century, always taking the country to a higher platform.

Global giant Microsoft also has released a statement declaring that they will also submit a similar declaration in support of the lawsuit and said that it would “be happy to testify further if needed”.

Earlier, Google's India-born Chief Executive Sundar Pichai critcised the executive order, suggesting that the ban could affect at least 187 Google employees as the Internet search giant ordered its travelling staff to return to the United States.
