New Delhi, Jan 7 : As part of a study on Mahatma Gandhi and his work on sanitation, eight academicians from US' Cardinal Stritch University visited Sulabh International, which runs low-cost pay-and-use public toilets across the country, on Saturday.

During the visit, the group got the first-hand experience on various toilet models designed, developed and successfully implemented by the low-cost sanitation NGO founded by Bindeshwar Pathak.

"The work by Sulabh International reflects Gandhi's concept with an exemplary work," said Mark Lewis Gender, Professor Leadership studies at Cardinal Stritch University located in Milwaukee city of US' Wisconsin state.

The team will also visit other cities across the country as part of the study.
