London, Aug 29 : Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has dismissed media reports that said chief coach Antonio Conte asked him to leave the London football club and insisted that he still has a role to play.

The former Arsenal and Barcelona midfielder has failed to secure a prominent role in Conte's Chelsea side during the opening couple of weeks of the season, fuelling rumours of a transfer.

The 29-year-old has been at the centre of a variety of rumours, as he and his teammate Juan Cuadrado are believed to be targets for Italian champions Juventus.

"Contrary to what has been written, the manager and I have a good relationship and he has NEVER told me that I can leave. He said that he counts on me, as I count on him," Fabregas wrote on Facebook on Sunday.

"I will continue to fight for this club until the very end and when called upon I will always give my very best. I'm fully committed to Chelsea Football Club and my only goal is to help them win more trophies. #ChelseaFC."
Fabregas played 37 games and scored five goals in the English Premier League (EPL) for Chelsea last season.
