Bhubaneswar, July 26 : The Odisha government on Tuesday accorded in-principle approval to three projects entailing a total investment of Rs 874 crore.

The nod came at the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi.

The government approved the expansion project of Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., whereby the firm plans to expand its non-alcoholic plant at Khurdha industrial estate at a cost of Rs 500 crore, said Kalyan Mohanty, General Manager of Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation Of Odisha.

The SLSWCA also approved a project of P&A Bottlers Ltd. to set up 2.50 lakh hectolitre capacity brewery at Balarampur in Dhenkal district with an investment of Rs 102 crore.

The third project is of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. to set up a common user facility centre at Dhutra in Jharsuguda district for storage of petroleum products, entailing an investment of Rs 272 crore.

Approving the projects, the Chief Secretary directed the departments concerned to quicken the process of obtaining various compliances for these projects.

He also directed the district collectors to conduct District Level Single Window Committee meetings regularly and plan the development of industrial ventures, small and medium enterprises in the district.

The projects under State Projects Monitoring Group were also reviewed at the meeting.

Several mining projects of Odisha Mining Corporation and those of Aditya Almunium, RSB Transmission Pvt. Ltd., Bhushan Steel Ltd., Odisha Power Generation Corporation and development of aluminum park at Angul were also discussed.

The issues relating to land acquisition, forest diversion, distribution of compensation and peripheral development activities also came up for discussion.
