Thiruvananthapuram, June 03 : KPCC President V M Sudheeran said on Friday that the BJP’s sole representative in the assembly O Rajagopal’s casting his vote in favour of CPI(M)’s P Sreeramakrishnan in the election to the Speaker’s post on Friday exposed the CPI(M)-BJP nexus.

Everyone had witnessed O Rajagopal calling on Pinarayi Vijayan at AKG Centre to congratulate him after the results of the assembly elections were declared, Sudheeran said.

Alluding to Rajagopal throwing his weight behind Sreeramakrishnan’s election as Speaker, Sudheeran added that the proof of the CPI(M)-BJP nexus strengthening was emerging now.

He also flagged the fact that the ruling LDF had failed to explicitly declare that it did not require the BJP’s vote in the election to the Speaker’s post.

The Opposition UDF had stated prior to the Speaker election that it did not want the BJP representative’s vote, Sudheeran pointed out.

On the LDF candidate for Speaker cornering a UDF vote, Sudheeran said that the Opposition leader had said that he would examine the issue, adding that he would react to the issue after that.

Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala also said that BJP’s O Rajagopal casting his vote in favour of LDF’s Speaker candidate revealed the clandestine nexus between the CPI(M) and the BJP.
